In this stage adaptation, the story revolves around Room 207, where Miss Nelson, the sweetest teacher in the world, faces a group of unruly students who take her kindness for granted. One day, Miss Nelson doesn’t show up for class, and the students are faced with the terrifying substitute teacher, Viola Swamp, whose strict and demanding demeanor turns their world upside down. As the students try to figure out what happened to their beloved Miss Nelson, they come to appreciate her more and realize the error of their ways.
